Here is a stunning example of drusy black sapphire with a generous sprinkling of ruby crystals. These tiny crystals sparkle like thousands of tiny stars. In the lab, ruby and sapphire molecules migrate through a very hot flux solution where, over a long period of time, they crystallize. This specimen would make a really stunning pendant or pin.
