The parent
body that produced this meteorite also produced a 600 foot diameter
crater on the Earth's surface about 50,000 years ago. Thousands of fragments
have been collected over the years, including this one, which we have
carefully drilled and set with an 18 karat green gold bail. The bail is
highlighted with two platinum accents. It is interesting to note that there
are small amounts of platinum that naturally occur in this meteorite.
